VTA Benchmark
Independent Verification

Raw Block Header + Merkle + Scrypt PoW Test

This page is the reproducibility layer for the VTA block evidence. It provides the exact local-node fields already captured by the benchmark and a standalone Python verifier for reconstructing a Bitcoin-style 80-byte header and checking the resulting Scrypt PoW against the compact target. It does not claim a successful cryptographic result until the raw 80-byte header and the exact VTA hashing parameters are independently supplied.

PENDING RAW BYTES

The benchmark has not yet independently recomputed the 80-byte header and Scrypt hash from raw serialized bytes.

Standalone Verifier

python vta_block_verify.py --header-hex <80-byte-header-hex> --expected-hash <block-hash> --nbits 1c186057

The supplied verifier validates header length, serializes/decodes the compact target, computes the VTA Scrypt proof-of-work using Python's standard hashlib.scrypt path, and reports the hash/target comparison. Use the exact serialized header from the VTA node; do not type a reconstructed header from the web page.

Evidence rule: The page intentionally says “pending” rather than fabricating an independent cryptographic pass. The local node's accepted block evidence is real, but an independent reproduction requires the exact raw header bytes and matching VTA Scrypt parameters.
